Transnational Youth Forum on the right to education: building a brighter future for the Children on the Move

Transnational Youth Forum on the Right to Education: Building a brighter future for the Children on the Move (TYF) is a project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, which aims at empowering Children on the Move and young adults (aged 16-30) with migrant background to research, discuss and contribute tangibly to policy reforms at national and European level regarding the challenges of integration of Children on the Move in the education system through dialogue with stakeholders. Led by “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center, in Nicosia, universities and organisations from Italy, Portugal, and France, are researching and discussing with key stakeholders in their local contexts to reveal the existing gaps and problems in the systems on both national and transnational level and find long term solutions to prevent early abandonment of schools, absenteeism and losing of motivation to pursue further studies/higher education. To better understand each country’s needs and opportunities regarding the integration of Children on the Move in the education systems, as well as to identify innovative initiatives that contribute to the social inclusion of migrant children, TYF participants will conduct research, participate in dialogue with stakeholders and among themselves, and finally take part at the Transnational Youth Forum on 16 to 18 of October 2019 in Nicosia, Cyprus. The Transnational Youth Forum in October 2019 will provide a unique opportunity for young adults and stakeholders to discuss and reach to conclusions on how to move forward in tackling the challenges that Children on the Move face in education. Funding reference Transnational Youth Forum is a project co-financed by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Commission (ref. 2018-2-CY02-KA347-001291)
